Spaces 10/21/17

Tonight, the worlds a parking lot.

White lights bounce off metallic people.

Faceless faces, the masks that conceal them.

I’m an astronaught floating past.

High above, dropping pennies to see ants scatter.

They only clutter, piling atop each other. Mouths full of copper lies. Metal taste. Iron blood.

I tie weights to my arms. Holding my breath as

I plummet.

An alien between yellow lines.

Looking for signs of life. Faceless mannequins

in their toy cars.

Ants at their march.

No one here.

Tear drops like footprints on the moon.

Tonight, the worlds a parking lot.

And i’m alone between the spaces.
