Birthday cake with Walt 1/8/2018

No Sweeter liquor pours

No hotter warmth shows

No feeling is more precious

Than whats below his words

Back in 1784,

or wondering foreign shore.

I’m eating cake with Walt

And asking yet for more

I’ll enjoy the gifts

The company far better

But Walt gives me presents

Even still more tender

And while it isn’t much,

It never needs to be.

His poems, his thoughts, his feelings
